Homemade bars with banana, dates and cocoa

 



Ingredients

35 gr. raw cocoa powder
180 g. (about 10 dates) dates, chopped and pitted
60 ml coconut oil
240 g. cashews
1 1/2 tbsp. vanilla extract
3 bananas, mashed
Coconut flakes, for sprinkling

How to:

Preheat the oven to 160 degrees fan and line a 20cm square tin with baking paper.
Place the cocoa, dates, oil, cashews, vanilla and banana in a blender and blend until smooth.
Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin, spread evenly and sprinkle with coconut.
Bake for 40 minutes or until firm to the touch.
Leave to cool in the tin before cutting into bars.
Store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1 week.
