Flight chaos: Man wore 15 masks and said gay people gave him cancer

A Sun Country Airlines flight from Minneapolis to Newark was forced to make an emergency landing in Chicago after a passenger caused a panic due to extreme and delusional behavior.

According to passengers, the man  who was wearing 15 masks on his face  began shouting incoherently, claiming that he was receiving radiation, that homosexuals had caused his cancer, and that he was being persecuted like gang members. Among his screams, he reportedly shouted “Trump is here,” while a little later he caused another disturbance by warning that “the plane is going to crash.”

However, witnesses report that in a moment of... “calm,” he opened his cell phone and played Candy Crush, as if nothing had happened.

After the emergency landing at O'Hare Airport, the passenger was arrested by authorities, handcuffed and removed from the aircraft. The remaining passengers continued their flight to New Jersey, after giving statements.

Sun Country Airlines confirmed the incident, noting that the flight was completed without further complications and thanked passengers for their calm and understanding.

The episode provoked various reactions on social media, with many commenting on the combination of paranoia and mobile gaming, but also satirizing the... excessively protective role of the 15 masks.
