Netanyahu: The return of Israelis to the North is now the goal of the war

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced in the early hours of the morning that the return of the residents of the northern part of the country,


who fled the area due to daily exchanges of fire between his country's armed forces and the Lebanese Hezbollah movement since October 8, are now among the targets of his government's war.

"(The government's) political and security council updated the war objectives tonight to include the following paragraph: the return in absolute safety of the residents of the north (of the country) to their homes," the Israeli prime minister's office explained to his announcement.
